The Art of Ceramics & Pottery...
An integral part of Etruscan and Roman civilization, both as a building material and as furnishing, it is still used to create crockery and ornaments using old techniques.
You will experience the various techniques needed for clay pottery, colours, materials, shapes and decorations typical of the Italian Renaissance tradition.
During the course, students will visit the Doccia Museum and Bargello Museum in Florence as well as a trip to Umbria to the Museum of Ceramics in Deruta and ceramic business in the area.
