A
journey across Italy...
Embroidery
was an expression of medieval artistic creativity which
flourished mainly in monasteries and castles. Later moving to
cities with their powerful guilds. Sacred vestments, emblems,
coats of arms, clothing, draperies, linens and fabrics for
furniture were all embroidered.
Another
decorative element enriched the artistic world of Art... Lace
was used to decorate linens and lingerie for men and women,
quickly spreading all over Europe.
During
the workshop you will learn under the supervision of experts,
specific stitches from the past used in the creation of
textile and embroidery masterpieces
