Imperial
Transparencies...
The
focus of this course will be on the production and decoration
of glass as an important part of domestic activities and on
the awareness of this art in modern interior decoration.
With
the expansion of the Roman Empire, the art of glass spread all
over Europe but Venice was the uncontested centre.
Elegant
and refined glass created by the Murano glass-makers are the
pride of many collections that overshadowed the work of its
rivals.
Glass
also finds its place in architecture with glass as a light
source through the transparency of colour tints.
